Bringing Accountability Back to American Logistics

A determined logistics leader stands in front of a modern semi-truck, symbolizing resilience and reform. The image reflects urgency and purpose—representing truckers, small fleet owners, and every American consumer affected by corruption in the logistics repair sector.

Heavy-Duty Repair Transparency & Fairness Act (HD-RTFA)

By Logistical Forwarding Solutions, A Logistics Consultant & Infrastructure Innovator

My name is Michael Thomas, and I’ve dedicated the past 23 years of my life to building the future of American logistics.

I am the Founder of Logistical Forwarding Solutions, a company where I have architected full-scale freight, dispatch, and carrier programs for investors, entrepreneurs, and established logistics professionals. I am proud to be a national leader in trucking investment strategy, logistics-based passive income models, and freight carrier infrastructure development—helping Americans build wealth through the core systems that move the nation.

I am also the founder of Freight University—America’s most in-depth logistics business education platform, and the first fully accessible, tuition-free logistics training system in the country. Over the past two decades, I have trained more than 100,000 logistics professionals, from freight brokers and dispatchers to startup fleet owners, city planners, and supply chain entrepreneurs.

In addition to traditional logistics development, I’ve pioneered the use of AI-powered logistics frameworks, including the creation of new AI prompt classification systems and automated workflows for training, route optimization, customer onboarding, and dispatch systems. My work in artificial intelligence enables scalable, democratized access to knowledge, efficiency, and opportunity within transportation and supply chain ecosystems.

Through these innovations, I have built a multi-sector circular infrastructure model that links logistics to housing, job creation, environmental sustainability, inmate reentry programs, and asset recovery. I’ve proven that a modern logistics platform can power more than deliveries—it can power entire communities.

And now, I’ve had enough of the unchecked corruption threatening this industry from within.

The System Is Broken. And It’s Breaking Us.

I’ve seen too many trucking companies—small businesses, veterans, and families—go out of business not because of fuel prices, poor planning, or competition, but because of predatory repair shops, inflated parts costs, and a total lack of regulation in one of the most critical sectors of the logistics industry.

Drivers are being financially destroyed by:

  • $5,000–$10,000 dealership repairs that should cost $1,200

  • $180/hour labor rates for junior-level techs

  • $400 parts ballooned to $3,800 invoices

  • $2,000 bills just to clear fault codes

This isn’t mismanagement. It’s a rigged system. And it’s costing livelihoods—while corporate service chains post record profits.

Every American Is Paying for This

Make no mistake—this crisis goes far beyond the trucking industry.

Every American citizen is directly affected.

This is a cost-of-living crisis tied directly to an unregulated corner of the logistics industry that impacts:

  • Consumer prices

  • Grocery store availability

  • Fuel and energy distribution

  • Medical and retail delivery networks

  • National inflation and freight market volatility

Logistics is the heart of the American economy. When repair fraud and price gouging compromise that system, we all pay the price.

My Next Mission: National Reform & Oversight

I am launching a nationwide campaign to reform the heavy-duty truck repair sector and introduce federal repair transparency, ethical service standards, and parts pricing accountability into U.S. freight infrastructure.

I’ve authored the Heavy-Duty Repair Transparency & Fairness Act (HD-RTFA), a legislative policy designed to:

  • Create standardized national labor and parts pricing references, ensuring that no mechanic, dealership, or service chain can manipulate repair costs without oversight. This data will be made publicly available and adjusted regionally.

  • Expose and penalize price-gouging networks by using verified complaint data, repair audits, and invoice tracking systems to hold unethical actors accountable.

  • Reward independent, ethical truck repair shops with tax incentives, federal certification, and visibility through the Verified Repair Network—an official database of trusted heavy-duty service providers.

  • Launch the Verified Repair Network to offer carriers and owner-operators a reliable platform for finding certified, fair, and transparent repair facilities, backed by FMCSA standards and government compliance metrics.

  • Provide secure whistleblower protections and reporting systems where truckers can submit repair invoices and documentation of abuse. These submissions will feed a centralized Repair Oversight Portal and support enforcement investigations.

This is more than a logistics bill. It’s trucking industry reform, infrastructure stabilization, and a blueprint for reducing fraud across the supply chain.

This Is Bigger Than Me

I am calling on every fleet owner, carrier, independent operator, policy maker, and logistics investor to join this movement. If we fail to fix this now, we risk systemic failure across America’s most critical supply chain sectors.

We can no longer allow billion-dollar corporations to profit from dishonest service models while small trucking companies close their doors. Every time a truck breaks down and is exploited instead of repaired, the ripple effect hits America’s wallets.

Join Me in This Fight

  • Share this message with industry leaders and allies

  • Contact your representatives to demand repair industry reform

  • Support and amplify the Verified Repair Network initiative

  • Protect honest mechanics and ethical logistics operators

  • Help bring the HD-RTFA to Congress and national media

This is our moment to stand for transparency, accountability, and fairness in logistics. The American economy depends on the trucks that move it—and the people behind those wheels deserve justice, not exploitation.
