Invest in a Semi Truck: You Own It, LFS Manages It

Investing in a semi truck with LFS means owning real equipment. You buy the truck, it is titled to you, and LFS manages it inside our network of trucking companies under a written management agreement.

Important disclosure. Logistical Forwarding Solutions is a trucking management company. We are not an investment adviser, broker-dealer or fund. We do not take, hold or pool investment money, and nothing on this site is an offer to sell or a request to buy a security. Managed truck ownership is a business with real risk: results depend on freight rates, truck uptime, driver retention, fuel, repairs, insurance and market conditions, and an owner can lose money, including the full amount put into the truck. We do not promise any income or return. Talk with your own attorney, accountant and financial adviser before buying equipment. See risks and disclosures and our disclaimer.

What It Means to Invest in a Semi Truck

When people ask how to invest in a semi truck, the honest answer is that you are buying a piece of equipment and putting it to work in a business. With LFS, the owner buys the equipment and we manage it. The truck is placed with a trucking company in the LFS network and runs under that company's operating authority.

Questions and Answers

Is buying a semi truck a good investment?

It can be, when the truck is bought right and managed well, but it is a business, not a guaranteed return. Freight rates, repairs and driver turnover all affect results. LFS never guarantees income. See risks and disclosures.

Can I own a semi truck without driving it?

Yes. With managed truck ownership, you own the truck and LFS manages it: the driver, dispatch, compliance, maintenance coordination and weekly reporting.

Do I need a CDL to invest in a semi truck?

No. The driver in the seat needs a CDL-A. As the owner, you do not drive. LFS recruits and screens the driver for the network trucking company.

Who pays for repairs and maintenance?

The owner pays for the truck and its upkeep. LFS coordinates the maintenance schedule and brings major repair decisions to you. Details are in the management agreement.

Does LFS take my money to invest?

No. LFS accepts no investments and never holds your money for a return. You buy the truck directly, it is titled to you, and LFS is paid as the manager under a written agreement.

What kind of truck should I buy?

Equipment that fits the freight our network runs: 53-foot dry van, reefer and power only. We help you think it through before you buy.
