Moving Art, Antiques and High-Value Items

LFS moves fine art, antiques, designer furniture, pianos and other high-value pieces. Our crew crates what needs a crate, pads the rest, and places it in the next room.

We are a carrier-first company.

Crates, Padding and a Condition Report

High-value items leave in a cargo van more often than in a semi. A custom wooden crate is built when the piece needs one: a sculpture, a fragile frame, glass, or something with an odd shape. Smaller pieces are wrapped, cornered and kept upright.

The crew photographs each piece for the condition report before it is wrapped and again when it is placed. Tell us if a piece needs temperature care. We will plan the vehicle for that piece instead of guessing.

The same handling fits delicate electronics and some lab or medical equipment when the job is careful packing and a direct move. We do the work as the mover, and we say what the piece needs before we roll.

How a High-Value Piece Is Moved

  1. Inventory

You tell us what is fragile, what is heavy, and what cannot be tilted.

  2. Crate or Wrap

A crate for the piece that needs one. Archival wrap, foam corners and blankets for the rest.

  3. Load

White gloves, a clear path, and the piece secured in the van so it cannot shift.

  4. Place

We set it where you asked and complete the delivery notes.

Questions about high-value item moving

Do you crate everything?

No. We crate the piece that needs a crate. Furniture that can ride padded and upright stays out of a crate so it can be placed the same day.

How do you handle a fragile piece?

The move is condition reports, crates when needed, padding, and our crew. Ask us about the piece and we will tell you how we will move it.

Can electronics move with the art?

Yes, when they need the same careful packing. Bay Area estates often combine both. Tell us on the form.
